April 2024 - The journey begins

It's been a long time in the planning stages and there have been a few false starts.. but the time has arrived and we are setting off in our trusty set-up - Kazza's 2012 Nissan Pathfinder with 212k on the clock, and our new but pre-loved 2018 New Age Road Owl, semi-offroad 16ft full height van with a small kitchen, queen size bed, shower and toilet.

We were all primed to leave Perth on Thursday 4 April from our good friend Anna's house where we had been squatting in the lead up to the big day... but then we wanted to squeeze in one last family catch up before leaving town, so packed up the rig and headed just north of Perth for some hugs and banter and laughs and HJs breakfast (say what!!!?).. what a fabulous farewell we had with some of our faves as we headed north for our first destination - Geraldton, WA.
